Happy eating.
These are the voyages of the Twin Cities Food Safari... It's continuing mission: To explore strange new restaurants, to seek out new foods and beverages, to boldly go eat dinner. The goal of this group is to find new cool restaurants and bars in the Twin Cities, and to expand our knowledge of different types of food!

Blue Door Pub
My Mom and step-dad, K.C., come to visit about twice a year and they always ask to go to a good place to eat. This time the request was for a good burger. Today marks my third trip to the Blue Door and every time it has been delicious. The restaurant is very small and I have herd complaints about having to wait for a table, but I have always been seated right away. Perhaps I have good timing. The burgers are all stuffed with melty-gooey cheese and many are topped with unexpected items. My favorite, and the only one that I order, is the Merriam Park Burger. It is stuffed with blue cheese and bacon and topped with a berry marmalade turns a good burger into pure heaven (I love the salty-sweet combo). Every time I go here, I have a bite of my companion's burger, just to make sure that I am not missing out on anything. KC had one with peanut butter and it was tasty, though very messy. I can also say that the French Dip Burger is good. For burger lovers, this is a must eat! If you are vegetarian, gluten-free, or have other food restrictions, you should call or stop by to see if there are options for you.
